30+ years of know-how, under one South Wales roof.
South Wales Custom Computers was founded in 2020, built around a team who already had over 30 years of hands-on repair and IT experience between them, our most experienced engineer alone has 16. The idea was simple: technology support should be honest, local, and done properly the first time. That's still the whole business model.
From one workshop to a full-service IT business.
Our engineers started out repairing PCs and laptops for local families across South Wales long before SWCC existed as a company. When we formally launched in 2020, we brought that hands-on experience with us, and as the workshop's reputation grew, so did what people asked of us: schools needed device fleets managed, care homes needed reliable networks, manufacturers needed uptime they could depend on, and gamers wanted machines built properly rather than assembled cheaply.
Since founding the company in 2020, we've built it on that same standard: nothing leaves the workshop until it's actually been tested, not just assumed to work, still based at our Cardiff Street office, still answering our own phone.
Today that means three things done properly under one roof: graded, warrantied refurbished laptops; managed IT support for education, care, manufacturing, retail and SME clients; and custom gaming PCs built and stress-tested by hand.
A few things we won't compromise on.
Honesty over upselling
If a repair isn't worth the cost, we'll tell you, even if it costs us the sale.
Test everything
Every refurbished laptop and custom build is stress-tested before it reaches you, logged and checked.
Stay local
One workshop, one phone number, engineers who know your setup by name.
Credentials you can check.
We back the "trust local" promise with the paperwork to match, so schools, care homes and businesses can bring us in with confidence.
A small team, not a script.
Meet our senior team and full-time staff. When you call, this is roughly who you'll end up speaking to, not a rotating call centre.
Alongside the rest of our team, these stars are the people who keep our business, and your business and home, running.

Luke Riddiford
Founder and lead technician, 16 years deep in IT with a background spanning electronic and mechanical engineering. If it powers on (or refuses to), it's usually been on Luke's bench.

Claire Riddiford
Chief Financial Officer and the person who genuinely keeps the place running: accounts, invoicing and the day-to-day order that holds everything together.

Jamie Lloyd
Keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes and drives new business, the steady hand making sure jobs land and clients are looked after.

Callum Mansell
Our lead site engineer, with a master's degree in engineering and the moustache to back it up. First on site when it really matters.

Ryan Jones
Head of repairs, fixing laptops and computers and building custom machines behind the scenes. A lot of the workshop runs through Ryan.

Cole Nealon
Our apprentice engineer, out on most job sites, eager to learn and hands-on supporting Callum and Luke with the day-to-day jobs.

Lewys Jones
Runs our marketing, social media and advertising, and keeps it all sharp, safely clear of Luke's spelling and jokes.

Monica Evans
The front desk and the face of SWCC. She answers most of your calls and makes sure Luke knows where he's meant to be. With the backup of Lewys and Claire, she keeps the engineers on time and in check.
Every sector, the same standard.
Education
Device fleets, classroom networks and Microsoft 365 for schools.
Care Homes
Reliable connectivity for care systems and compliance-aware data handling.
Manufacturing
Uptime-critical support for shop floor and office systems.
Retail & SME
Everyday troubleshooting and IT that scales with a growing business.
You'll see us on the road, not just online.
Our vans carry the same SWCC branding as the workshop. If you spot one on a call-out across South Wales, that's genuinely us.
Come and see the workshop.
Walk-ins welcome at our Cardiff Street office, or call ahead and we'll have the kettle on.
